Psychiatric Consultation
Dr. Pomeraniec utilizes the semi-structured psychiatric diagnostic interview within a biopsychosocial framework to establish a diagnostic assessment. Prior to providing treatment recommendations, Dr. Pomeraniec may recommend further laboratory analysis and/or neuroimaging to rule out clinically relevant medical conditions. In addition, Dr. Pomeraniec utilizes genetic testing to understand a patient’s response to medication by reviewing pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic genes that play a crucial role in both metabolism and impact of medications. This helps decrease the length of time required to reach symptom remission.
Forensic Consultation
Dr. Pomeraniec provides forensic assessment in a variety of legal scenarios. He provides expert witness testimony as well as independent medical evaluations to clarify complex psychiatric conditions that may be relevant within a legal proceeding.
Multidisciplinary Treatment
Dr. Pomeraniec collaborates with clinicians to provide a comprehensive diagnostic and treatment approach for children, adolescents and adults. He communicates extensively with clinical social workers, psychologists, and neuropsychologists in order to establish and clarify diagnostic and treatment needs.
International Consultation
Dr. Pomeraniec provides initial and second opinion diagnostic and treatment recommendations to patients from Central and South America and the Caribbean.
